It takes the whole Christian community to
provide the financial resources for a
Christian education. Tuition alone
does not cover the full cost of education,
and the cost of maintenance for our school
facilities.
Everett Christian School has been blessed
with strong financial support from the
Christian community for over three quarters
of a century. These resources help
provide an excellent education, preparing
students to be servants of God in his world.
There are a variety of ways in which you can
provide financial support for Everett
Christian School. Read the information
below to find out how you can help with our
two open campaigns at Everett Christian.
What is the Campaign for Everett Christian School?
It is the largest fund-raising drive in Everett Christian School
(ECS) history. One designed to better position ECS as a financially stable
educational organization to equip God’s children to thrive in our community and
in the world. It will result in endowment support for ongoing operational
stability and updated facilities which support educating to meet the needs of
each child.
What are the two strategic areas of the campaign?
1) The Endowment Initiative
A strong endowment ensures students will not be prevented from an
outstanding Christian education by a lack of financial resources. It also
allows the school to take advantage of new opportunities and provides
operational support for the facilities. Equipping children today to be prepared
for the challenges of tomorrow rests to a great degree on a solid endowment
base.
A robust endowment enables the work of the school in three key ways:
-
Stability to overcome unforeseen
challenges,
-
Flexibility to take advantage of
new opportunities, and
-
Reliability to safeguard against
the eroding consequences of inflation
Investments from the endowment generate income that allows the
school to accomplish goals that would be impossible based on tuition alone.
These include:
What will it take?
The ECS endowment currently stands at $120,000 and the Campaign
seeks to raise an additional $500,000 for the endowment. This will help ensure
future ECS students receive the same level of quality education that students
receive today.
2) The Building Initiative
The building initiative includes an update of the facility that
demonstrates a strong commitment to educating our young in a changing world. In
the hands of our outstanding faculty, creatively-designed classrooms with
modern equipment and support services offer ECS students the competitive edge.
ECS seeks new levels of academic excellence in elementary education as one way
of impacting our society.
To maximize its resources and capitalize on its strengths, ECS
will:
-
Upgrade classrooms and grounds to support advanced teaching methods and play a more effective roll in child development,
-
Upgrade support facilities to enable better utilization and meet the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements,
-
Upgrade the parking facilities for the faculty and staff The effective teaching of our children in today’s world demands changes to the classroom of yesterday.
These changes support activity zones, quiet zones, and interactive zones within
the classroom. Structuring the classroom around start-of-the-art technologies
enables the faculty to focus on educating rather than the integration of
technologies.
Support facilities at ECS have been a second priority for years and
need to be upgraded to support the faculty and staff to deliver results in the
classroom. Meeting ADA requirements enables ECS to meet the needs of disabled
students demonstrating a level of love and caring for all of God’s community.
Student learning in the updated facilities will achieve new levels
as the faculty becomes more productive in meeting the individual needs of each
student. This level of education further supports the overall mission of the
school.
What will it take?
The ECS building fund currently stands at $20,000 and the Campaign
seeks to raise an additional $200,000 for the building initiative. This will
help ensure facilities support the educational methods of today while preparing
students for success in the world of tomorrow.
