JOB TITLE:   K-8 Music Teacher/Chapel Director (2024-2025).

 

SUMMARY:   A part-time instructor/chapel director for fundamental music to perform essential teaching duties, assuring that the mission of the school is supported. Models a servant’s heart and promotes an attitude of respect, teamwork and professionalism; supporting our school; praying for and with other faculty and staff; encouraging others in Godly living and excellence through music.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

• Teach each class once per week

• Create music schedules

• Plan programs in winter and spring

• Communicate with Band teacher

• Coordinate singing outings of service for lower elementary students

• Assist in planning special /all-school events with music

• Plan weekly chapels (with support of faculty)

• Assist in planning and implementing yearly themes

 

JOB REQUIREMENT QUALIFICATIONS:

• Profess a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord

• Maintain a positive Christian testimony

• Be involved in a local church of like faith and practice, consistent with the ECS Statement of Faith

• Agree with and adhere to the employee handbook

• Strong communication skills

• Able to use technology

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of credentials.
