A LEGACY OF FAITHFULNESS

As Everett Christian School celebrates its 100th year in 2025-26, a new Endowment Fund has launched to help the school continue for another 100 years!

Teachers are the heart of our school. And the new ECS Endowment Fund — professionally managed by Barnabas Foundation and overseen by a committee of trustees drawn from the ECS community — will help the school work toward paying teachers a competitive and livable wage. The effort will bring ECS salaries up to market, improving recruitment and retention of quality Christian staff so that we can continue to fulfill our mission to raise up servants of God in His world for another century.

Our goal over time is to top $2.5 million.

But payouts will begin as soon as the fund reaches $250,000.

Your gift will ensure that this vital work for the future begins today!

With the Endowment Fund and partnership with Barnabas Foundation, ECS is now also poised to offer tax-wise charitable gift and will planning from a distinctly Christian worldview. Learn more about Planned Giving

The Need

Recruitment of teachers is getting harder every year. To fill vital teaching roles in recent years, ECS has had to get creative. But creativity has its limits.

Everett Christian’s starting salary is well below market for other Christian schools, in addition to being significantly lower than area public schools — and the region’s livable wage.

But it’s not just starting salaries. Salaries for our most experienced teachers, with at least 12 years' experience and a master’s degree, top out at a wage that also is well under market and below the region’s livable wage.

ECS is buoyed by an exceptionally experienced and dedicated staff. Our full-time teaching staff average 30 years of experience, the majority of it spent in ECS classrooms. This is a huge blessing. But it also means a big need for new teachers in the not-so-distant future.

These teachers are the core of our school, loving our children and helping raise them up to be servants of God in partnership with the Christian home and local church.

Growing the Endowment Fund will ensure this vital resource is nurtured, too.

“We have contributed to the Endowment Fund because we want the opportunity for Christian education to be available to other families. Our kids went to ECS and benefitted from ... being taught by people who love Jesus. We want future generations of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to have the same opportunities...”

Loren VanLoo, parent of alumni and ECS Endowment Fund Committee member

How to Help

There are two ways to give to the Endowment Fund, offering opportunities to build a legacy both in the short term and the long term.
